Roadmap
What is coming next?
Kajona is growing with every release - new features, new modules, optimizations...
For the upcoming Kajona 3.3 we plan to implement:
- Complete rewrite of the portal-editor and optimization of the in-site-editing features
- Switch to CKEditor 3.x and YUI3
- Optimize the caching-behavior of automatically resized images
- Rewrite of the internal locking-API
- Simplification of the workflow of internal business objects
- Redesign of the internal rights-hierarchy to speed up portal requests
- Harmonization of the internal node-hierarchy
- Switch to pChart for generating graphs
Furthermore we plan to provide / realize:
- Extending the XML interfaces
- Rewrite of the internal user management, including a login architecture which makes it possible to use external user databases (e.g. LDAP)
- New modules like votings
- Integration of a PDF engine to generate PDF files dynamically
- Extending features of the portal-editor
