What was in 2013. What will be in 2014.

And once more, a year reaches the last days. And once more, it's time to write a small retrospection.

Looking back at 2013, it was a year with exciting events and news.

The release of Kajona 4.0 is to be ranked first. After more than a year of development-time and almost six years after the initial release of version 3, the new version 4.0 "reload everything and make it shiny" was finished. The feedback not only of the press, but also and especially of the community confirmed our decions, making us even prouder.

But - the release was only a short break on the development train. In 2013, Kajona 4.1, 4.2 and even 4.3 followed. And it seems, was even Kajona 4.4 is not far away from the corner ;).

To put it in a nutshell, the development speed of Kajona increased a lot. This has many reasons, namely the modernized architecture of the software making use of annotation based OR-mapping or automatically generated forms. In addition, the relaxed and amicable atmosphere between the developers boosted the development. Two sprints added a bunch of new features, ideas have been discussed and realized.

Looking forward, the next releases promise to include fancy new features. The user interface will be polished even more (4.4), and a new search-engine is just to be released. The framework will be extended and enriched with new functions and, at last but not at least, world peace should not be far away :).

We want to thank all users, interested ones, developers, designers, translators and everyone else participating with Kajona and the Kajona project.

We're looking forward to 2014!

The Kajona Team
